Enjoy the spoonbill

Aug 1, 2021 | Bird info

The spoonbill is a gorgeous bird. Once on the brink of extinction, it is now a common breeder. In the Netherlands, more than 3000 pairs breed. In late August and September the birds leave for their wintering grounds in Africa. Best spots to see the spoonbill are the wadden islands, the lakes in the Green Heart or the Oostvaardersplassen. Book a bird watching excursion and enjoy the spoonbill while it is still here or ask for a free offer.
